There have never been more ways to find a job than right now. Whether you have just left School or College and are looking for your first job or you are already a seasoned professional and fancy a change, there are plenty of places for you to visit be it in person or online to see what job opportunities are on offer.
No matter what source you use to explore job opportunities the process of finding a job is the same. Make sure you have a well-written CV (Curriculum Vitae) with a relevant Cover Letter. Take time to thoroughly read the job profile and make sure you are happy with all the job requirements before you apply, for example does the role involve travel, working from home, the use of a car etc.

Social Media Sites: Like Jobs Boards/Websites there are many social media sites that focus on advertising jobs vacancies in certain sectors. Take time to explore these.
Recruitment Agencies: Recruitment Agencies will assist you in getting a job. These type of companies generally charge a fee to the employer for getting them the best candidate for the job. Like Jobs Boards there are specialist types of Recruitment Agencies for different Industries/Job Titles.
Job Centres: Job Centres will be more than happy to assist you in finding a new career. They will offer access to computers to carry out job searches and may have advisors available to assist you with your job applications.
Newspapers: While not as popular as before due to the advent of the internet certain companies do still advertise their job vacancies in newspapers. There may be an online version of the newspaper available which may be easier to access.
Industry Magazine: Industry Magazines are often a good source for find job opportunities. Mots of these are available to buy in large newsagents or online. They will often give information on companies who are expanding so sending speculative applications is an option also.
Open Days: Keep a look out for open days which can often be organised by local enterprise boards/job centres/companies. If attending, try and find out what companies will be there in advance and have several copies of your CV available to hand out on the day.
Company Websites: Sometime companies may only advertise their current job vacancies on their website. If there are specific companies you are interested in, make sure to check their sites regularly.
