A recent report on Fintech Global indicates that FinTech Companies in Ireland have raised over $1bn across 84 transactions between 2014 and 2019. 2014 to 2017 saw FinTech Investment increase at a GACR of 86.6%. Funding dropped however in 2018 to only $98.6m but recovered well in 2019 to reach a new record of $356.6m across 16 deals. All of this is great news for Ireland’s rapidly growing FinTech Sector and those seeking FinTech Jobs.
Castlehaven Finance’s private equity deal in Q3 2019 accounted for 78.7% of the total funding raised during 2019. Castlehaven Finance is an industry-leading alternative lender funding property development in Ireland. The company raised $280.6m from Avenue Capital Group which will acquire the existing Castlehaven Finance Portfolio from Pollen Street Capital and provide future funding lines to further grow the Castlehaven platform.
